Segment Synopsis: Tauzin grew up in Louisiana with an older brother and parents who split in her early childhood. Being half Korean, Tauzin faced racism and found joy in writing poetry, but was not encouraged by her family to continue. In school she felt like an outcast, never really fitting into a specific niche. Wanting to avoid gym, she joined ROTC in high school where she participated in the color guard and drill team.

Segment Synopsis: Tauzin went to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri, where she participated in a five-month program, which was both basic training and technical training, to become a member of the military police. While she enjoyed some moments of basic training, she feels that it caused her to become more nervous and become withdrawn. She earned the nickname "nose bleed" because she broke her nose early in the training.

Segment Synopsis: Tauzin's basic training was broken down into phases: blue and white, which were part of basic, consisted of a lot of yelling; then white, green, and gold, where the group spent time in classrooms listening to lectures. Because there were so few females in her class, Tauzin and the others would never get nights off.

Segment Synopsis: After being told that she could bring her son to live with her, Tauzin was stonewalled and threatened with being kicked out of the Army if she did not stop trying to move her son to Hawaii. While trying to care for her son and maintain her duties, as well as taking online college courses, she was stalked and had photographs taken of her house. Her sergeant told her that she had two options, to send her son home, or get kicked out of the Army for fraudulent enlistment. Tauzin fought to keep her son and asked to move units.

Segment Synopsis: Tauzin overheard her married commander say inappropriate comments about herself and another female while waiting in the hall. Rather than angrily reacting, she emailed him personally. He turned himself in for inappropriate behavior and Tauzin was able to move units. The new unit was wonderful and she was able to progress to an E4.

Segment Synopsis: Tauzin was unknowingly moved to Fort Hood by one of her previous Sergeant Majors. She took it as a chance to start fresh. At Ford Hood, she was able to move up to an E5 by 2017. Fort Hood was the first time that Tauzin had had a female sergeant.

Now she is adapting to life in the National Guard while going to school for criminal justice. Tauzin believes that her experience with the military made her strong but cynical. She was exposed to many bad things and sights as a member of the Army military police. However, she is grateful for the experience no matter how bad it was.
